The deacons of Miracle Baptist Church accept the New Testament as our source of authority on the Christian life and the work of a deacon. From it we learn that deacons were first chosen to serve with the pastor in the ministries of the church, that they were ordained by the church to serve people in need, that they were expected to set an example in Christian life and service. Our commitment to our role as a deacon is summarized in the Deacon Code of Ethics.
The method we have chosen to minister to each member family is called the Deacon Family Ministry. Each member family is assigned a deacon who is responsible to minister to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of each family member.
