Dr. Kirkland and Cathy are originally from South Carolina where they served in three previous churches in the past thirteen years. They are excited about leading Miracle in whatever direction the Lord Jesus Christ leads. Dr. Kirkland says, “I’m just glad to be part of such a loving church and part of the team. Miracle is a diverse church with many strengths and a great capacity to make one feel part of the family of God. That doesn’t mean the church hasn’t had struggles, we have, but God is faithful and we plan to be here for many years to come!” Dr. Kirkland sees his wife as a partner in ministry and as a great help with strengths of her own.
The biggest news in the Kirkland household is the addition of baby Hannah. Hannah is Dr. Kirkland’s and wife Cathy’s first child, she was born on August 19th, 2010. Dr. Kirkland states that, “We were told by doctors that we would probably never have children but God saw fit to bless us with a wonderful baby girl who we love dearly.” Dr. Kirkland invites all to come and worship with them at Miracle Baptist Church on any given Sunday.
